What is ITCoEICT?
The India-Tanzania Centre of Excellency in ICT (ITCoEICT) was founded in 2009 as a result of friendly relation between the two stated countries and their desires for further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the area of Information Technology. The project implementing agencies on behalf of the two countries are Tanzania Dar Es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) and India Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (CDAC). To ensure availability of required faculty members to work with Centre, the Government of Tanzania sent eight DIT teaching staff to India for 6-months specialized training in the areas of advanced computing, wireless and mobile computing, and embedded system design. This document outlines structure of the centre, mission, vision, its strategies and various activities/training planned to be executed by the Centre.
