The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) is an Institution of Technical Education which was established in 1997 through an Act of Parliament and it is fully accredited

by the National Council for Technical Education (NACTE) to offer technician and engineering programmes leading to the qualifications of National Technical Awards Level 6 (Ordinary Diploma) and 8 (Bachelor of Engineering) respectively. These programmes are competence based.

DIT is collaborating with Leeds Metropolitan University (Leedsmet) in delivering a Masters degree in Facilities Management in Tanzania via e-Learning. Besides, the Institute is comprehensively networked with fibre optic cables and wireless hotspots.

Our ultimate goal is to transform our Institution to a World class Centre of Excellence in Engineering, Applied Sciences and Entrepreneurship.
