COURSE DESCRIPTION

   

This course will introduce to technical personnel the basic knowledge and skills in creation of 3D designs using parameters aided 3-D software. The course is targeted to mechanical Engineers, Industrial Engineers, technicians, etc. who are interested in excelling beyond the 2-D drafting. 
MAIN OBJECTIVES    
  • Ability to Identify application for CAD techniques within the functions of design
  • Ability to recognize the relative merits of different parametric softwares
  • Ability to sketch in parametric software (Solidworks)
  • Ability to model and assemble engineering components in parametric software.

    • Computer Design Concepts
    • From 2-D to 3-D
    • Modeling basics
    • Parts development
    • Assembly development (Functional)
    • Technical drawing development
    • Export drawings from other softwares
    • Plotting drawings.
CERTIFICATES    

Handout and course materials shall be offered during the course and at the end of the course certificates shall be awarded.
