Re- Admission of Suspended Students!
Students (All BEng full time students) who were suspended indefinitely on 18th November, 2008 and required to fulfill all the specified conditions for re-admission are hereby informed that the exercise of sorting out the fulfillment of the conditions has been completed.
The students listed below have fulfilled the conditions for re-admission including full payment of fees for the academic year 2008/2009 and are therefore required to report to DIT Main Campus on Monday 9th February 2009 starting from 9:00 am for re-admission.
Students whose names do not appear in this list should not report and are hereby directed to pay their outstanding fees by Monday 9th February 2009.

Re-admission procedures are as follows:
All Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng) full time students who have satisfied all the conditions for registration to the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology and whose names have been published are called for re-registration at the Institute in strict adherence to the following procedures.
All B.Eng full time students were deregistered upon their indefinite suspension of the Institute. Hence none of those who have been published for re-registration shall have the studentship status of the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology before they are re-registered in accordance with the procedures hereunder.
PROCEDURES FOR RE-REGISTRATION OF STUDENTS
- All B.Eng full time students who were leaders in the DIT students Organizations previously recognized under the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology shall have no such recognition. Their respective recognitions were withdrawn immediately after they were indefinitely suspended.
- The whole of the area comprising the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology shall be restricted for entry to only suspended B.Eng full time students whose names have been published and only on the date and time specified under the procedures. Any B.Eng full time students entering the Institute without permission shall be committing breach of the order and peace and subject to immediate prosecution.
- Remember to bring with your originals and photocopies of your birth certificate, certificate of secondary education examination, advanced certificate of secondary education examination and Full Technician Certificate (FTC) and other relevant certificate as appropriate for registration purposes.
- All B.Eng full time students whose names have been published for re-registration at the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology shall strictly abide by these procedures.
- B.Eng full time students whose names have been published for re-registration shall report to the Institute on Monday 9th February 2009. Re-registration of students shall strictly take place from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Hence any student who shall default to appear for re-registration on that day shall remain outside the Institute area at his/her own expenses. It is therefore emphasized that those who have been published for re-registration must appear on that day.
- All qualifying B.Eng full time students coming to report for re-registration shall check their names at under ground floor of Block B where a check point shall be situated.
- All qualifying B.Eng full time students whose names will be ascertained at the checkpoint shall surrender their respective previous students Identity Cards and shall be issued with registration documents and be instructed to proceed to the respective Department.
- Every student who will have been issued with the special pass shall be required to proceed to his/her Head of Department for registration. No student shall be permitted to visit any other place within the Institute without wearing his/her new student identity card. Any student found within the Institute and who is not wearing a student’s identity card shall have committed breach of order and peace and subject to immediate prosecution measures.
- Every B.Eng student who fulfils the re-registration requirements shall be issued with a new identity card and be instructed to proceed for residential allocation. No person shall be allowed to be present within the area of blocks of residence without having and wearing his/her student identity card.
NOTE:
Students shall have two colored passport size and one stamp size photograph. B.Eng full time students who do not qualify for re-admision due to outstanding balances are advised to pay their balances through NBC Limited Bank DIT A/C No. 011103007131 by 9th February, 2009. These will be called for reinstatement through the DIT website www.dit.ac.tz.
