Invitation for Bids
- This Invitation for bids follows the General Procurement Notice (GPN) for this tender which appeared in the local newspaper the Daily News issue ISSN 0856-3812 no 10051 of Monday 19th April 2010
- The Government of the United Republic of Tanzania has set aside funds for the operation of the Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology during the financial year 2010/2011. It is intended that part of the proceeds of fund will be used to cover eligible payments under this contract.
- The Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology now invites sealed bids from eligible Suppliers and Service providers for the following tenders:-

4. For tenders no one and two bidders are allowed to quote for one lot or both.
5. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures specified in the Public Procurement (Goods, Works, Non Consultant Service and Disposal of Public Assets by Tender) Regulations, 2005 – Government Notice No. 97 and is open to all Bidders as defined in the Regulations.
6. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from and inspect the Bidding Documents at the office of the Secretary of Tender Board, Dar es salaam Institute of Technology, Junction of Morogoro Road/Bibi Titi Mohamed Street, P. O. Box 2958 Dar es Salaam from 08.00am to 03.00pm on Monday to Friday inclusive except on public holidays.
7. A complete set of Bidding Document(s) in English and additional sets may be purchased by interested Bidders on the submission of a written application to the address given under paragraph 5 above and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Tshs. 50,000/= or any freely convertible rate. Payment should either be by Cash, Banker’s Draft, or Banker’s Cheque, payable to the Principal of Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology.
8. All bids must be accompanied by a bid securing declaration in the format provided in the Bidding documents.
9. All bids in one original plus two copies, properly filled in, and enclosed in plain envelopes must be delivered to the address mentioned in paragraph six above on or before 21st June 2010.Bids will thereafter be opened promptly in public in the presence of bidders’ representatives who choose to attend the opening event in DIT ASA’s Lounge.
10. Late Bids, Portion of Bids, Electronic Bids, Bids not received, Bids not opened and not read out in public at the bid opening ceremony shall not be accepted for evaluation irrespective of the circumstances.
