Having affordable accessibility and technology related with biomedical equipment is much wanted for the healthcare practitioners. Healthcare professionals rely on an array of critical electronic devices to diagnose and provide medical care for their patients.
In this training, participants will learn to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair medical equipment. Combining this with medical terminology and physiology, computer networking, and biomedical equipment systems. Participants will also practice on a wide range of health-related monitoring tools, diagnostic, therapeutic, and surgical apparatus and instrumentation.
Target Participants are laboratory technicians, Professionals/Individual working in the repair and maintenance of hospital Equipment’s, X-rays, telemedicine and biomedical systems and anybody interested with the course.asv

Technical Details, theory of operation and maintenance of biomedical equipment
Measuring, recording and monitoring equipment (ECG, Pulse oximeter, cardiac monitor, multiparameter monitor)
Modern Imaging Systems (Ultrasonic Imaging System, X-Ray Machine)
Clinical Laboratory Instruments (Spectrophotometer, Semi-Auto Analyzer, Colorimeter, Microscope, Centrifuge)
Therapeutic Equipment (Cardiac Defibrillator, Short wave Diathermy, Ultrasonic Diathermy)
Introduction to telemedicine technology
Overview of International standards
Demonstration of telemedicine technology
Biomedical equipment, Repair, Calibration and Installation
At the end of this course participants are expected to
Acquire knowledge and skills on how to repair and maintain biomedical equipment
Acquiring skills on how to troubleshoot biomedical equipment
Gain understanding of professional and ethical responsibility for the field
Improve skills of assembling biomedical equipment
Medium of Instruction: English and Swahili
Venue: Dar es Salaam Institute of Technology (DIT) - Dar es Salaam.
Duration: One week (Five working days)
Fee: TZS 450,000.00 per participant.
